Every picture tells a story

I was actually re-living few moments of my college life as an architecture student, when I clicked this picture at Al-Shatti beach, Muscat, Oman. The sleepless nights that I spent over learning to draw one-point and two point perspective views. There was a sort of mental block and I was not able to get the views technically right, even after umpteen number of expert instructions from my seniors and also guidance from my roommate, Winnie. I used to drool over Winnie's perspective drawings whenever we were given any design assignment. She used to get it so right that I actually wondered whether she carried a magic wand in her hand. Mind you, those were not the days of digital architecture and everything was manually drawn. Anyway I had to pass that subject so after a lot of practice and moments of sincerity in brain application, I finally managed to understand the technique of it all. Needless to say, I even taught the subject to my students. Surprisingly they understood without much difficulty. I still have mental blocks over simple things and then suddenly become enlightened one fine day, understanding all perfectly. Counting on small blessings in life and more...

Great words and a very meaningful insight on life!
